Please read this information in order to keep your product at its best.

Products, materials and finishes:

We choose to use materials that are reliable and robust, and depending on the product or component, we will use a hard wearing PU Varnish or a Hard wax oil finish.

Hard wax oil: Stool tops, box storage unit, table lamps, pendent lamps, bench seat with storage & all our wall art pieces

PU Varnish: All our tables & our bench seat (without storage)

Under conditions of normal use these will give you great service over many years, but will require you to adhere to the following care instructions in order to avoid damage. Upon purchase, your product will be supplied with any relevant care information.

Environment and positioning of products:

  1. All our products are intended for indoor use only.

  2. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

  3. Avoid exposure to excessively dry or damp environments.

  4. If storing products made with timber faces and or plywood components, we recommend an environment between 10 - 25 degree celsius, ensuring that all faces are evenly exposed to the air. This will guard against warping and cracking.

All our Table tops & our Bench seat (without storage):

  1. These are finished in a hard wearing PU Varnish.

  2. The use of aggressive cleaners, sanitizers, and degreasers may cause damage to the finish. Surfaces will become vulnerable to heat and water, resulting in marks, and the general deterioration of the finish will make the surface prone to scratches.

  3. PU Varnish is not intended to have waxes and furniture polishes applied to it. If used, it is likely that an accumulation of these products will occur on top of the varnish, altering the appearance of the surface. Instead we recommend the use of warm soapy water, and that any spillages are wiped up immediately and not left on the surface. When wiping the surface, only use a non abrasive cloth.

  4. Hot objects: Although PU Varnish is heat proof to a point, we recommend that any hot objects are placed on coasters rather than the surface itself.

Stool tops, Box Storage unit, Table Lamps, Pendant Lamps, Bench Seat with Storage & all our wall art pieces:

  1. These are finished in a hard wax oil.

  2. The use of soaps, aggressive cleaners, sanitizers, and degreasers may cause damage to the finish with prolonged use. Surfaces will become vulnerable to heat and water, resulting in marks, and the general deterioration of the finish will make the surface prone to scratches.

  3. Instead we recommend the use of warm water applied with a damp cloth. Wipe up any spillages immediately. When wiping the surface, only use a non abrasive cloth.

  4. Hot objects: We recommend that any hot objects are placed on coasters rather than the surface itself.

Electrical considerations for all our Lamps:

  1. Always disconnect the plug from the mains before commencing any cleaning.

  2. Silicone lamp holders and bulbs: If these require cleaning these can be removed from the slab lamp by separating the clip at the back of the lamp. The holders can be cleaned with warm soapy water. Before commencing any cleaning always disconnect the plug from the mains supply and ensure the bulb is cool before wiping it.

  3. Wiring, plug, switch and bulb: Our lamps arrive pre-wired with the appropriate electrical flex, plug, inline switch and fuse. Simply put the bulb in, turn it on and enjoy. In the event of electrical failure, first unplug the lamp from the mains. The problem is likely to be a blown bulb, or fuse. Try replacing the fuse with a new one with the same rating, or the bulb. Our lamps are designed to work with either LED or filament bulbs. Replacement bulbs can be purchased in our online shop . If purchasing your own bulbs, ensure that they do not exceed 60 watts.

Hair Pin Legs system:

  1. These are spray painted. Avoid knocking them with sharp objects, as this may damage the paint finish.

  2. Plastic feet are supplied in order that they do not damage your floor. If you lose them, you can purchase more through us.

  3. Use warm soapy water and a non abrasive cloth to clean the legs and ensure they are wiped dry after, again with a non abrasive cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaners, sanitizers or degreasers as this may damage the painted finish.
